إن الجمعية العامة تحيط علما بمذكرتَي اﻷمين العام المتعلقتين باستحقاقات الوفاة والعجز)٣( وبالتقدم المحرز في تصفية المطالبات المتراكمة المتعلق بالحوادث. ــ ــ ــ ــ ــ )٣( A/C.5/53/66 و A/C.5/54/13.

On the proposal of the Chairman, the Committee decided, without a vote, to recommend to the General Assembly that it take note of the note by the Secretary-General on the quarterly report for the period from 1 October to 31 December 1998 on progress made in clearing the backlog of claims for incidents.
وبناء على اقتراح من الرئيس، قررت اللجنة، دون تصويت، أن توصي الجمعية العامة بأن تحيط علما بمذكرة اﻷمين العام عن التقرير الفصلي عن التقدم المحرز في تصفية المطالبات المتراكمة المتعلقة بحوادث الوفاة والعجز، الذي يغطي الفترة من ١ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر إلى ٣١ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٨.
