Continuing annual resolutions of the Assembly reflect the concerns of Member States regarding radiation exposure and its effects and the need for the collection, analysis and interpretation of data carried out by the Committee.
واستمرار قيام الجمعية العامة بتجديد ولاية اللجنة يعكس مشاعر القلق التي تنتاب الدول اﻷعضاء بشأن التعرض لﻹشعاع وآثاره، ومن ثم الحاجة إلى ما تضطلع به اللجنة من جمع البيانات وتحليلها وتفسيرها.

The work undertaken by the Commission in identifying priority areas in respect of the principle of national ownership is most welcome.
إن العمل الذي تضطلع به اللجنة في تحديد المجالات ذات الأولوية فيما يتعلق بمبدأ الملكية الوطنية موضع ترحيب شديد.

4. Takes note with appreciation of the annual report for 2012 - 2013 of the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee, and the status of work undertaken by the Committee, in particular:
4- يحيط علماً مع التقدير بالتقرير السنوي للفترة 2012-2013 الذي أعدته لجنة الإشراف على التنفيذ المشترك(3) وحالة العمل الذي تضطلع به اللجنة وعلى وجه التحديد ما يلي:

the Commission's catalytic role in that regard could facilitate such efforts, and women's non-governmental organizations could increase their visibility at and contributions to such mainstream forums in order to shape their agendas.
وقد ييسر الدور الحافز الذي تضطلع به اللجنة في ذلك المجال بذل هذه الجهود، ويمكن للمنظمات غير الحكومية النسائية أن تزيد من تواجدها ومساهماتها في هذه المنتديات الرئيسية من أجل بلورة جداول أعمالها.

(ii) Increased number of references to the subregional work of ESCAP in key media in South and South-West Asia

We acknowledge the valuable work done by the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in seeking to safeguard and promote these rights.
ونحن نعترف بالعمل القيم الذي تضطلع به اللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف في سعيها لحماية وتعزيز هذه الحقوق.

As regards the work of the Committee on Missing Persons, I would like to reiterate the commitment of the Turkish Cypriot side to the work carried out by the Committee in line with the mandate agreed by the two sides under the auspices of the Secretary-General.
وفيما يتعلق بعمل اللجنة المعنية بالمفقودين، أود أن أكرر تأكيد التزام الجانب القبرصي التركي بالعمل الذي تضطلع به اللجنة وفقا للولاية التي اتفق عليها الجانبان تحت رعاية الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة.

Annual resolutions of the Assembly reflect the concern of Member States regarding radiation exposure and its effects and the need for the collection, analysis and interpretation of data carried out by the Committee.
وتعكس القرارات السنوية التي تتخذها الجمعية العامة القلق الذي يساور الدول اﻷعضاء بشأن التعرض لﻹشعاع وآثاره، ومن ثم الحاجة إلى ما تضطلع به اللجنة من جمع البيانات وتحليلها وتفسيرها.

In support of early adoption, it was suggested that it be made clear that any future work on insolvency law undertaken by the Commission would in no way add to or seek to modify the existing text of the Model Law.

وتتناول المذكرة تأثير الاحتيال التجاري وأهميته، ومعنى الاحتيال التجاري وطبيعته، والمسائل العامة في القانون التجاري التي يمسها الاحتيال التجاري، والطرائق الممكنة للعمل الذي يمكن أن تضطلع به اللجنة.

Thus far, there has been little coordination in terms of indirect taxation, and there is therefore scope for useful work to be undertaken by the Committee towards fostering more cooperative approaches that will not duplicate the efforts of other organizations.

The important role that the Committee plays is also evident in the fact that during several transformations and restructuring exercises in ESCAP, Governments have decided to keep the Committee on Statistics as a subsidiary body of ESCAP.
والدور الهام الذي تضطلع به اللجنة يتضح أيضا من أن الحكومات قررت خلال عدة تحولات وعمليات إعادة هيكلة في اللجنة أن تبقي لجنة اﻹحصائيات كهيئة فرعية تابعة للجنة.

The Committee was convinced of the importance of the work being done by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and he expressed the hope that dialogue between that Committee and the Human Rights Committee and with the Special Adviser would continue.

For example, the work of ECE in promoting environmental sustainability includes the development of legislation, monitoring of its implementation and the assessment of achievements.

We welcome the work carried out by the Commission on Sustainable Development in this regard, and are looking forward to the forthcoming United Nations Conference on Environment and Development review conference in 1997.
