The so-called “prison cleansing Campaign” which followed is said to have involved detainees either sentenced to death or condemned to 15 years of detention and over.
ويقال إن ما يسمى " حملة تطهير السجون " التي تلت ذلك قد شملت محتجزين محكوم عليهم إما باﻹعدام أو بعقوبة السجن لمدة ٥١ سنة أو أكثر.

As an example, one list of 154 named prisoners allegedly executed in the course of the “prison cleansing Campaign” provides the Special Rapporteur with the charges for which the detainees have been executed.

The Special Rapporteur has already reported on the so-called “prison cleansing” campaign in his last reports to the Commission on Human Rights (E/CN.4/1998/67) and the General Assembly (A/53/433).
