1. Takes note with appreciation of the work of the United Nations Environment Programme, as described in document UNEP/Env.Law/4/3, in implementing the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the 1990s;

UNEP activities in this field have been guided by its long-term strategic programme, the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law (Montevideo Programme).

By its decision 22/17 D, the Council/Forum decided to request the Executive Director to provide to the Governing Council at its twenty-third session a comprehensive report on the implementation of the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the First decade of the Twenty-first Century (Montevideo Programme III).
39 - قرر المجلس/المنتدى، بموجب مقرره 22/17 دال، أن يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى مجلس الإدارة في دورته الثالثة والعشرين، تقريراً شاملاً عن تنفيذ برنامج تطوير القانون البيئي واستعراضه دورياً للعقد الأول من القرن الحادي والعشرين (برنامج مونتفيديو الثالث).

Requests the Executive Director to provide to the Governing Council at its twenty-third session a comprehensive report on the implementation of the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the First Decade of the Twenty-first Century, (Montevideo Programme III). 10th and 12th meetings
يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى مجلس الإدارة في دورته الثالثة والعشرين، تقريراً شاملاً عن تنفيذ برنامج تطوير القانون البيئي واستعراضه دورياً للعقد الأول من القرن الحادي والعشرين (برنامج مونتفيديو الثالث).(36)

Recalling the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the First Decade of the Twenty-first Century and its decision 21/23 of 9 February 2001, which called on the Executive Director to promote the effective implementation of, compliance with and enforcement of environmental law, and towards this end to strengthen the capacity of various stakeholders, including members of the judiciary,
إذ يشير إلى برنامج تطوير القانون البيئي واستعراضه دورياً للعقد الأول من القرن الحادي والعشرين(36) ومقرره 21/23 الصادر في 9 شباط/فبراير 2001، الذي طلب من المدير التنفيذي تعزيز التنفيذ الفعال للقانون البيئي والامتثال له وإنفاذه، ولهذه الغاية تعزيز قدرات مختلف أصحاب المصلحة بما في ذلك أعضاء الجهاز القضائي،

The Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the First Decade of the Twenty-first Century (Montevideo Programme III) provides long-term strategic guidance for UNEP activities in the field of environmental law, identifying services and support to the implementation of existing multilateral environmental agreements as well as the direction for further development of such agreements.
