Ms. Hernando (Philippines), introducing draft resolution A/C.3/65/L.20, said that the draft resolution aimed to update a similar resolution that had been adopted at the sixty-third session of the General Assembly, which called upon Governments, inter alia, to eliminate the demand for trafficked women and girls and ensure that victims of trafficking were not penalized for being trafficked.
