ففي ١٤ آب/أغسطس اجتمع الرئيس شيفرنادزه مع السيد آرديزنبا في تفليس.

UNESCO is also working towards the organization in 1997 of an international meeting on education for sustainable development to be held possibly in Greece, 20 years after the landmark Tbilisi conference which set the basic guidelines for the development of environmental education.
وتسعى اليونسكو أيضا إلى أن تنظم في عام ١٩٩٧ اجتماعا دوليا معنيا بالتعليم من أجل التنمية المستدامة من المحتمل أن يعقد في اليونان، وذلك بعد عشرين عاما من انعقاد مؤتمر تفليس الذي شكل نقطة تحول حددت فيها المبادئ التوجيهية اﻷساسية لتطوير التثقيف البيئي.

We have the honour to transmit herewith the text of the Declaration signed at Tbilisi on 29 October 1997 by the President of Ukraine, Mr. Leonid Kuchma, and the President of Georgia, Mr. Eduard Shevardnadze during the official visit of President Kuchma to Georgia.
