Similarly, if the wife pays off her husband's debts, there is a presumption of law that these debts have been paid with the husband's money (Commercial Law, article 627). This means that a wife, in the event of her husband's bankruptcy, cannot bring a case to claim her rights, unless she proves the contrary of the said praesumptio juris.
كذلك إذا قامت الزوجة بإيفاء ديونٍ لحساب زوجها، فإن هنالك قرينة قانونية على أن هذه الديون دُفعت من مال زوجها (المادة 627 من قانون التجارة)، بما يعني أنه لا يمكن للزوجة أن تقيم أيّ دعوى على تفليسة زوجها للمطالبة بحقوقها تجاهه، إلاّ إذا أثبتت عكس القرينة المشار إليها.
