2. In my previous report on South Sudan, I highlighted the divisions within the ruling party, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM).

Also with reference to 2013, the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) investigated and verified 860 cases of sexual violence committed by parties to the conflict, representing an increase of 13 per cent since my previous report on sexual violence in conflict.
وفي ما يتعلق بعام 2013 أيضاً، حققت بعثة منظمة الأمم المتحدة لتحقيق الاستقرار في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية في 860 قضية عنف جنسي ارتكبتها أطراف في النزاع وتثبتت منها، وسجل هذا العدد زيادة بنسبة 13 في المائة منذ تقريري السابق عن العنف الجنسي في حالات النزاع.

In my previous report on the protection of civilians, I recommended a set of tools aimed at improving the safety of refugee populations, including the deployment of regional or international military forces.
وقد أوصيتُ في تقريري السابق عن حماية المدنيين بإعداد مجموعة من الأدوات تهدف إلى تحسين مستوى الأمن والسلامة للاجئين، بما في ذلك نشر قوات عسكرية إقليمية أو دولية.

947. Since my previous report on the work of the Organization it has become increasingly evident that the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the availability of their basic components constitute a growing threat to international peace and security.

68. Since my previous report on sexual violence in conflict, no governmental system has been put in place to respond to my recommendation that the effective prosecution of perpetrators be pursued.

74. Since my previous report on sexual violence in conflict, there has been little progress in pursuing justice for survivors of sexual violence perpetrated during the internal conflict.

78. In my previous report on sexual violence in conflict, I noted that the action plan launched in August 2012 to respond to the recommendations made by the Commission of Inquiry on Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation included no action directly providing redress for those affected by sexual violence during the conflict.
78 - في تقريري السابق عن العنف الجنسي في النزاعات، أشرت إلى أن خطة العمل التي أطلقت في آب/أغسطس 2012 للاستجابة للتوصيات الصادرة عن لجنة التحقيق بشأن الدروس المستفادة والمصالحة لم تشمل إجراءات تقدم بشكل مباشر سبلا للانتصاف لمن تضرروا من العنف الجنسي أثناء النزاع.

5. Since I submitted my previous report on small arms to the Security Council, several countries in the Sahel have become more vulnerable as a result of armed conflict, societal upheaval, a lack of governmental control over army and police stockpiles, terrorist activities, trafficking and related organized crime.
5 - ومنذ أن قدمت تقريري السابق عن الأسلحة الصغيرة إلى مجلس الأمن، أصبح عدة بلدان في منطقة الساحل أكثر عرضة للخطر نتيجة للنـزاعات المسلحة، والاضطرابات الاجتماعية، وغياب الرقابة الحكومية على مخزونات الجيش والشرطة، والأنشطة الإرهابية، والاتجار غير المشروع والجريمة المنظمة ذات الصلة.

It reviews and assesses the process of the implementation of the resolution since my previous report on the subject was issued on 18 April 2013 (S/2013/234).

2. The 18 months since my previous report on this topic (S/2012/376) have borne witness to further tragic and brutal reminders of the fundamental importance of the protection of civilians in armed conflict.
2 - وقد شهدت الشهور الثمانية عشر المنصرمة منذ تقريري السابق عن هذا الموضوع (S/2012/376) حوادث مأساوية ووحشية كانت بمثابة تذكِرة بمدى الأهمية البالغة لجهود حماية المدنيين في النزاعات المسلحة.

27. As I stated in my previous report on UNAMIR on 29 February 1996, I remain convinced that, in spite of the withdrawal of the Mission, a number of outstanding issues still need to be addressed in Rwanda with the support of the international community.
٢٧ - كما ذكرت في تقريري السابق عن بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة لتقديم المساعدة الى رواندا المؤرخ ٢٩ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٦، فإنني لا زلت على يقين من أنه على الرغم من انسحاب البعثة فإنه لا يزال هناك عدد من القضايا العالقة التي يجب التصدي لها في رواندا بدعم من المجتمع الدولي.

Recalling their concerns expressed in my previous report on the work of the Board (A/48/325), the members strongly recommended that the General Assembly fund the work of the centres at the rate of $50,000 each annually.

43. In my previous report on the safe areas (S/1994/555, para. 24), I expressed the view that the acceptance of the following three overriding principles was required for the successful implementation of the safe-area concept:

47. A proposal was made in my previous report on the safe areas (S/1994/555) that UNPROFOR be tasked to define the operational boundaries of the safe areas.

54. Since my previous report on the implementation of resolution 2139 (2014), I call yet again upon all parties to the conflict to work with the United Nations to establish durable and lasting arrangements at key border and combat line crossings to facilitate access.
54 - وها أنا أهيب مجدداً بجميع أطراف النـزاع، منذ صدور تقريري السابق عن تنفيذ القرار 2139 (2014)، أن يعملوا مع الأمم المتحدة على وضع ترتيبات دائمة ومستمرة على المعابر الرئيسية الكائنة على الحدود وبين خطوط القتال تيسيراً لوصول الإغاثة.
