15. His delegation appreciated the Secretary-General's reports on cooperatives and social development (A/58/159) and on youth employment (A/58/229). It also placed priority on the rights of disabled persons, especially in the aftermath of a long and painful war that had resulted in an increase in the number and types of disabilities among its people.
15 - وأضاف أن وفده يثني على تقريري الأمين العام بشأن التعاونيات والتنمية الاجتماعية (A/58/159) وتشغيل الشباب (A/58/229)، كما أنه يعطي أولوية لحقوق المعوقين، خاصة في أعقاب حرب طويلة ومؤلمة خلَّفت وراءها زيادة في أعداد وأنواع الإعاقات بين السكان.

On 24 July, following a closed meeting with the countries contributing troops to the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID), the Council held an open meeting to consider the Secretary-General's reports on UNAMID (S/2009/297 and S/2009/352).
