It reviews the progress made in technical assistance delivery by the Terrorism Prevention Branch of the Division for Treaty Affairs of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and presents guidelines and proposals concerning the future approach to technical assistance for consideration by the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

1. The present note contains a summary of the proposed programme of work in crime prevention and criminal justice for the biennium 2000-2001 for consideration by the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its eighth session.
١ - تحتوي هذه المذكرة على موجز لبرنامج العمل المقترح في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية لفترة السنتين ٠٠٠٢-١٠٠٢ ، لكي تنظر فيه لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية في دورتها الثامنة .

10. Recommends the proclamation of an International Year for Minorities, with a Decade to follow, and the preparation of a draft decision for the consideration of the Commission on Human Rights at its sixtieth session;
