In this regard, one representative questioned the five-year moratorium for revision of the statute, as proposed by the International Law Commission, pointing out that such a moratorium would exclude from the jurisdiction of the Court a number of relevant international instruments, such as the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel, which could enter into force in the near future.

At its 42nd meeting, on 25 July, the Council adopted a draft resolution entitled " revision of the statute of the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific " , recommended by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (see E/2011/15/Add.2, chap.
