1. The Andean Development Corporation (CAF) is an international financial agency of an intergovernmental nature that was established in 1970.

It was noted, for example, that the Andean Development Corporation (Corporación Andina de Fomento -- CAF) had implemented competitiveness programmes in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, aimed at diversifying existing exports and increasing their value added.

4. The Agreement establishing the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) was signed in Bogotá on 7 February 1968 by the Governments of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela; it entered into force on 30 January 1970.
