43. As explained in paragraph 18 above, it is proposed, as part of the ongoing reprofiling of UNLB as the Global Service Centre, that all engineering project and planning activities be conducted in the Engineering Standardization and Design Centre of the Logistics Service.

As explained in paragraphs 18 and 43 above, engineering project and planning activities are currently conducted at UNLB by two distinct units, one within the Engineering Standardization and Design Centre, focused on support for United Nations field operations, and the other within the Planning and Project Unit of the Campus Support Section of the Base Support Service, focused on domestic activities.

44 - يقترح الأمين العام، في إطار الأعمال الجارية لإعادة تشكيل قاعدة الأمم المتحدة للوجستيات لتصبح مركز الخدمات العالمي، أن تنفّذ جميع المشاريع الهندسية وأنشطة التخطيط في مركز توحيد المعايير والتصاميم الهندسية التابع لدائرة الخدمات اللوجستية.

(b) The reassignment of the Planning and Project Unit, comprising four posts (1 P-3 and 3 national General Service), from the Campus Support Section to the Engineering Standardization and Design Centre.
