(1) Japan would like to participate and work actively in the Council:
1 - تود اليابان أن تشارك وتعمل بنشاط داخل المجلس من خلال ما يلي:

On a second matter, Japan would like to request that the Council continue to look for means to involve more substantially those non-Council members with a vital interest in an issue under discussion, in the Council's decision-making process.
وبالنسبة للأمر الثاني، تود اليابان أن تطلب من المجلس مواصلة البحث عن وسائل تتيح لغير الأعضاء الذين لهم مصلحة حيوية في قضية قيد النقاش المشاركة بشكل أكبر في عملية صنع القرار في المجلس.

Finally, Japan would like to express its gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for taking the initiative in introducing this very important issue to the General Assembly and for its considerable effort to produce this consensus draft.

In order to realize the early entry into force of the Treaty, Japan would like to call upon those countries which have expressed opposition to the Treaty to accede to it at the earliest possible date from the broader perspective of promoting nuclear disarmament.
وبغيــة تحقيق دخـول المعاهدة حيز النفاذ مبكرا، تود اليابان أن تناشد البلدان التي أعربت عن معارضتها للمعاهدة أن تنضم إليها في أقرب تاريخ ممكن وذلك من المنظور اﻷوسع أي منظــور تعزيز نزع السلاح النووي.

In this regard Japan would like to ask all member States to give strong support to the small arms and light weapons draft resolution that Japan, together with South Africa and Colombia, will submit.
وفي هذا الصدد، تود اليابان أن تطلب من جميع الدول الأعضاء أن نؤيد بقوة مشروع القرار بشأن الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة الذي ستقدمه اليابان بالاشتراك مع جنوب أفريقيا وكولومبيا.

In any case, Japan would like to draw the attention of all delegations to the fact that, when we consider the effectiveness of the methods of work, the financial aspects should be duly considered.

Japan would like to propose adding a column under the heading " Defence expenditures to gross domestic product ratio " to the report format, which will enable us to calculate the ratio of defence-related costs in relation to expenditures such as those of development, and would add value to the system as a confidence-building measure.
