4. The request indicates, as did the original request granted in 2008, that Chad's understanding of the original challenge was derived from a Landmine Impact Survey (LIS) carried out in 1999-2001, which covered all of Chad's territory except for the Tibesti region.

11. The request indicates that during the three-year extension, Chad will conduct technical surveys, first in the Borkou and the Ennedi regions (one year), and, second, funds and security situation permitting in the Tibesti region.
11- ويشير الطلب إلى أنه خلال فترة التمديد البالغة ثلاث سنوات، ستجري تشاد عمليات مسح تقني. أولها في منطقتي بوركو وإندي (سنة واحدة)، وثانيها في منطقة تيبستي إذا سمحت الموارد والحالة الأمنية بذلك.

29. The work plan for the proposed extension period is as follows: between 2013 and 2017, all roads and priority areas in the Tibesti region will be demined; from 2015 to 2019, all contaminated areas in the regions of Ennedi and Borkou will be demined and decontaminated, and the regions of Wadi Fira, Sila, Ouadaï and Salamat will be demined; and in 2015, the contaminated areas in N'Djamena and Hadjer-Lamis will be cleared.
29- وفيما يلي خطة العمل في فترة التمديد المقترحة: فيما يخص إزالة الألغام في الفترة 2013-2017: إزالة جميع الألغام من المحاور والمناطق ذات الأولوية في مجمل منطقة تيبستي. 2015-2019: إزالة ألغام/تطهير جميع المناطق الملوثة في منطقتي إنيدي وبوركو؛ 2015-2019: إزالة الألغام من مناطق وادي فيرا، وسيلا، ووداي، وسلامات. 2015: معالجة المناطق الملوثة في مدينة نجامينا وهاجر - لميس.

7. The analysing group recalled that, in its previous request, Chad had committed to conduct a nationwide technical survey, first in the Borkou and the Ennedi regions (one year), and, second, funds and security situation permitting in the Tibesti region, and continue demining or start demining in the areas that are known to contain anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordnance with priority given to high impact areas.
7- وأشار فريق التحليل إلى أن تشاد التزمت في طلبها السابق بإجراء دراسة استقصائية تقنية على الصعيد الوطني تبدأ في منطقتي بوركو وإنيدي (سنة واحدة)، ثم في منطقة تيبستي إذا سمح الوضع المالي والأمني بذلك، وبمواصلة عملية إزالة الألغام أو بدئها في المناطق المعروف أنها تحتوي على ألغام مضادة للأفراد وذخائر غير متفجرة وإعطاء الأولوية للمناطق الشديدة التأثير.

Data are available for all the regions but additional information needs to be collected on the Tibesti, Ennedi, Borkou and Moyen-Chari regions.
