In that connection, my delegation recalls the words of the seventeenth-century English clergyman and poet John Donne: " No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. "
وفي هذا الصدد، يشير وفدي إلى كلمات رجل الدين والشاعر الانكليزي من القرن السابع عشر جون دون: " ليس الإنسان جزيرة، مستقلة بذاتها؛ بل كل إنسان هو جزء من القارة، جزء من الكل " .

If the events in the financial markets over recent weeks have shown us nothing else, it is the extent to which we are all intrinsically interlinked -- something the English poet John Donne recognized nearly 500 years ago when he wrote:
