يحق للمتعاقد أن يتنازل عن حقوقه وأن ينهي هذا العقد بدون عقوبة بإرسال إخطار بذلك إلى السلطة، شريطة أن يظل هذا المتعاقد مسؤولا عن جميع الالتزامات التي استحقت قبل تاريخ هذا التنازل وعن الالتزامات التي يتعين الوفاء بها بعد الإنهاء وفقا للنظام.

On 30 July 2009, the author reiterated inter alia that he has not received any compensation for pecuniary loss as a result of the violations of his rights and that the State party's suggestion that he claim compensation through the Criminal Procedure Act is inappropriate and unrelated to the violation of his rights under article 14 of the Covenant.
وفي 30 تموز/يوليه 2009، أكد صاحب البلاغ من جديد أموراً منها أنه لم يتلق أي تعويض عن الخسائر النقدية المترتبة على انتهاكات حقوقه وأن اقتراح الدولة الطرف أن يطالب بالتعويض من خلال قانون الإجراءات الجنائية هو أمر غير مناسب ولا يمت بصلة إلى انتهاك حقوقه بموجب المادة 14 من العهد.

In his view, the State party is under an obligation to ensure that he is put in the same position as he would have been had the decision which violated his rights not been made and that if this is not possible the payment of adequate damages.
ويرى صاحب البلاغ أنه يقع على عاتق الدولة الطرف التزام بأن تكفل له أن يكون في الوضع ذاته الذي كان من الممكن أن يكون عليه لو لم يُتَّخذ القرار الذي أدى إلى انتهاك حقوقه وأن تدفع له تعويضات كافية في حالة تعذُّر ذلك.

91. The Convention recognizes the rights and responsibilities of parents, or other legal guardians, to provide appropriate direction and guidance to their children (see para. 84 above), but underlines that this is to enable the child to exercise his or her rights and requires that direction and guidance are undertaken in a manner consistent with the evolving capacities of the child.

129. To be President or vice-President of the Republic a person must be a Costa Rican by birth and a citizen in the exercise of his rights, a layman, and over thirty years of age.
129- ويشترط في المرشح لمنصب رئيس أو نائب رئيس الجمهورية أن يكون من رعايا كوستاريكا بحكم مولده ومواطناً يمارس كافة حقوقه وأن يكون شخصاً عادياً يبلغ من العمر أكثر من 30 عاماً.
