38. The Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women, its causes and consequences visited the Occupied Palestinian Territory on official mission from 13 to 18 June 2004.

He congratulated Turkey on three of its nationals' simultaneous occupation of the position of Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women and the current chairmanship of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers.

The Office and the Division are facilitating the attendance of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women, its causes and consequences at the thirtieth session of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (12-30 January 2004), at the invitation of the Committee.
10 - ويسر مكتب المفوض السامي والشعبة حضور المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق الإنسان المعني بالعنف ضد المرأة وأسبابه ونتائجه للدورة الثلاثين للجنة المعنية بالقضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة (12-30 كانون الثاني/يناير 2004)، بناء على دعوة مقدمة من اللجنة.

Elsewhere the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to conduct an in-depth study on all forms of violence against women, in close cooperation with all relevant United Nations bodies and the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women (see resolution 58/185).

33. In the context of implementing human rights instruments, the General Assembly invited the Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment to continue to examine those issues with a specific emphasis on women, and to exchange views with the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights on violence against women, its causes and consequences (see General Assembly resolution 56/143).
33 - وبخصوص تنفيذ صكوك حقوق الإنسان، دعت الجمعية العامة المقرر الخاص المعني بالتعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة، إلى مواصلة بحث هذه المسائل، مع التأكيد بوجه خاص على النساء، وتبادل الآراء مع المقرر الخاص للجنة حقوق الإنسان المعني بالعنف ضد المرأة وأسبابه وعواقبه (انظر قرار الجمعية العامة 56/143).
