Since July, UNOWA has established a consultative mechanism on human rights in Guinea and Niger.

12. Takes note of the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights in Guinea in 2013;

8. Takes note, in that regard, of the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights in Guinea;

The present report is submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 13/21 inviting the High Commissioner for Human Rights to submit a report on the situation of human rights in Guinea to the sixteenth session of the Council.
يُقدَّم هذا التقرير عملاً بقرار مجلس حقوق الإنسان 13/21 الذي دعا فيه المفوضةَ السامية لحقوق الإنسان إلى أن تقدم إليه تقريراً عن حالة حقوق الإنسان في غينيا في دورته السادسة عشرة.

2. This report, submitted in accordance with Human Rights Council resolution 13/21 of 15 April 2010 on the strengthening of technical cooperation and advisory services in Guinea, covers the human rights situation in Guinea and the activities of the Office of the High Commissioner for human rights in Guinea from April to December 2010.
2- ويتناول هذا التقرير، الذي يُقدَّم وفقاً لقرار مجلس حقوق الإنسان 13/21 المؤرخ 15 نيسان/أبريل 2010 والمتعلق بتعزيز التعاون التقني والخدمات الاستشارية في غينيا، حالة حقوق الإنسان في غينيا وأنشطة المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان في هذا البلد في الفترة من نيسان/أبريل إلى كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2010.

112. With regard to recommendations 71.99, 71.100, 71.101, 71.102, 71.103, 71.104 and 71.105, Guinea has received support from international institutions such as the UNDP, the European Union (EU), the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF), the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) and other bilateral partners who have taken part in activities to promote and protect human rights in Guinea.
112- وفيما يتعلق بالتوصيات 71-99 و71-100 و71-101 و71-102 و71-103 و71-104 و71-105، تلقت غينيا دعماً من مؤسسات دولية منها على وجه الخصوص برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي والاتحاد الأوروبي والمنظمة الدولية للفرانكفونية وصندوق بناء السلام وشركاء ثنائيون آخرون ممن شاركوا في أنشطة تعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان في غينيا.

19. The situation of human rights in Guinea presents a number of challenges. These include: impunity, in particular of the security forces; sexual and gender-based violence and harmful traditional practices, e.g. female genital mutilations; and widespread corruption, which has impeded the full realization of economic, social and cultural rights.
19- هناك عدد من التحديات التي تواجه حالة حقوق الإنسان في غينيا وهي تشمل: الإفلات من العقاب، ولا سيما بالنسبة لقوات الأمن؛ والعنف القائم على أساس نوع الجنس، والممارسات التقليدية الضارة من قبيل تشويه الأعضاء التناسلية للإناث؛ وانتشار الفساد، الشيء الذي أعاق الإعمال التام للحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.
