The strategy provides for ways to consolidate and strengthen the Organization's information work in support of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).

Also recalls its resolutions 57/2 of 16 September 2002 and 57/7 of 4 November 2002, and stresses the important role played by the Economic Commission for Africa in coordinating the activities of the United Nations system at the regional level in support of the New Partnership for Africa's Development;
