6. Invites voluntary extrabudgetary contributions in support of the participation of representatives of developing countries that are not members of the Commission on Sustainable Development in sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests and its subsidiary bodies;

152. At its 8th meeting, on 3 May 2001, the Council had before it a draft decision recommended by the Forum,23 entitled " Venue of the sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests " .

36. There is a need to devote one or two days in sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests to discussions on regional and subregional dimensions to allow regional and subregional organizations to present their perspectives and information and to share experiences and best practices.

23. At its 3rd meeting, on 16 February, the Forum recommended to the Economic and Social Council the adoption of a draft decision entitled " Venue of the sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests " , submitted by the Chairman and members of the Bureau on the basis of informal consultations held pursuant to Council resolution 2000/35 (see chap. I, sect. A).

(ii) Compilation of the progress made and catalysts and obstacles encountered by member States and member organizations of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests in implementing the proposals for action of the Intergovernmental Panel on Forests/Intergovernmental Forum on Forests and the decisions and resolutions of sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests;

The objective of the present note is to provide background information to assist the ad hoc expert group in analysing the catalysts and obstacles impacting on the implementation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Forests/Intergovernmental Forum on Forests proposals for action and the resolutions and decisions of the sessions of the United Nations Forum on Forests.
يتمثل الهدف من هذه المذكرة في طرح معلومات أساسية لمساعدة فريق الخبراء المخصص على تحليل الحوافز والعقبات التي تؤثر على تنفيذ مقترحات العمل المقدمة من الفريق الحكومي الدولي المعني بالغابات/المنتدى الحكومي الدولي المعني بالغابات وكذلك القرارات والمقررات الصادرة عن دورات منتدى الأمم المتحدة المعني بالغابات.

Experts recognized that the sharing of these lessons and the highlighting of trends through written reports was further enriched through active exchange of information at the sessions of the Forum and at country-led initiatives and other intersessional activities.

(c) Agree that the sessions of the Forum will provide opportunities for countries, members of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests and major groups to identify emerging issues that warrant the attention of the international community.
(ج) الاتفاق على أن تتيح دورات منتدى الأمم المتحدة المعني بالغابات الفرص للبلدان المعنية ولأعضاء الشراكة العالمية في مجال الغابات والمجموعات الرئيسية، كي تحدد المسائل الناشئة التي تستحق اهتمام المجتمع الدولي.
