Main issues related to biodiversity and ecosystem services to be covered by the assessment or other activities in relation to the Platform functions and its conceptual framework;
(أ) المسائل الرئيسية ذات الصلة بالتنوع البيولوجي وخدمات النظم الإيكولوجية التي ينبغي أن يغطيها التقييم أو الأنشطة الأخرى فيما يتعلق بوظائف المنبر وإطاره المفاهيمي؛

IV. Purpose and objectives The purpose of the Platform is to strengthen the science-policy interface on issues related to biodiversity and ecosystem services through its four functions (assessments, knowledge generation, policy support and capacity-building).
7 - الغرض من المنبر هو تعزيز واجهة بين العلم والسياسات بشأن المسائل ذات الصلة بالتنوع البيولوجي وخدمات النظم الإيكولوجية عن طريق وظائفه الأربع (التقييمات، وخلق المعارف، ودعم السياسات، وبناء القدرات).

United Nations bodies related to biodiversity and ecosystem services were invited by the Plenary at its first session to submit inputs and suggestions, as determined by their respective governing bodies, to inform the development of the initial work programme of the Platform.
7 - ودعا الاجتماع العام للمنير في دورته الأولى هيئات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة بالتنوع البيولوجي وخدمات النظم الإيكولوجية إلى تقديم مساهمات واقتراحات على النحو الذي تحدده مجالس إدارة كل منها ليسترشد بها برنامج العمل الأولي للمنبر.

6. Invites United Nations bodies related to biodiversity and ecosystem services and relevant stakeholders, such as intergovernmental organizations, international and regional scientific organizations, and environment trust funds, to submit inputs and suggestions following the agreed procedure and guidance set out in Decision IPBES/1/3 on the procedure for receiving and prioritizing requests put to the Platform.
6 - يدعو الهيئات التابعة للأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة بالتنوع البيولوجي وخدمات النظم الإيكولوجية وأصحاب المصلحة المعنيين، مثل المنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات العلمية الدولية والإقليمية والصناديق الاستئمانية للبيئة، إلى تقديم مساهماتهم واقتراحاتهم وفق الإجراءات والإرشادات المتفق عليها والمبينة في مقرر المنبر 1/3 المتعلق بإجراءات تلقي الطلبات المقدَّمة إلى المنبر وترتيبها بحسب الأولوية.

In order to streamline requests submitted to the Platform, the Plenary particularly encouraged the submission of requests by Governments conveyed by the multilateral environmental agreements related to biodiversity and ecosystem services through their governing bodies or scientific subsidiary bodies, allowing some flexibility regarding the deadline for submissions due to their internal meeting schedules.

وتقدم مطبوعات الفاو الرئيسية، كالتقييم العالمي للموارد الحراجية وحالة الغابات في العالم وحالة مصائد الأسماك وتربية المائيات في العالم، تحليلات منتظمة للقضايا ذات الصلة بالتنوع البيولوجي وخدمات النظم الإيكولوجية.
