In its resolution 1999/21, the Commission requested the SecretaryGeneral to bring that resolution to the attention of all Member States and to seek their views and information on the implications and negative effects of unilateral coercive measures on their populations, and to submit a report thereon to the Commission on Human Rights at its fiftysixth session.

Technical work on the vulnerability index was under way and would be reviewed by an expert group meeting in December. The results of that meeting would be submitted to the Committee for Development Planning and, subsequently, to the Commission on Sustainable Development.

Calls upon the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps to strengthen the structure for the advancement of women and maintain its identity and status, to ensure adequate resources on an ongoing basis before and beyond the Fourth World Conference on Women and to report to the Commission on the Status of Women at its thirty-eighth session;

In that regard, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to pursue the necessary management improvement measures and to report thereon to the Committee for Programme and Coordination at its forty-second session.
