My delegation shares the view of the Secretary-General that international cooperation has a vital role to play in arresting and reversing the potentially harmful effects of human activities on the environment.

Furthermore, Thailand agreed with the Secretary-General that the target of 25 per cent of policy-making and decision-making posts for women should continue to be a guiding factor and called for full cooperation from senior managers of the various organizations of the United Nations system.
