With regard to the constitution of the Working Party’s bureau, he had strongly supported the candidature of Mr. Oberholzer for the post of Chairman of the Working Party at its present session.

The Vice-Chair-cum-Rapporteur will be a representative of one of the States members on list A (Asia).

The thirty-third session of the Working Party was opened on 25 January 1999 by Mr. Lahcen Aboutahir (Morocco), Chairman of the Working Party at its thirty-second session.
