3. At the 33rd meeting, on 9 December, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Raiko Raichev (Bulgaria), informed the Committee of the following revisions to the draft resolution made on the basis of the informal consultations:
٣ - وفي الجلسة ٣٣، المعقودة في ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر، قام نائب رئيس اللجنة، السيد رايكو رايشيف )بلغاريا(، بإبلاغ اللجنة بالتنقيحات التالية التي أدخلت على مشروع القرار بناء على مشاورات غير رسمية:

63. Mr. Raichev (Bulgaria) said that the strengthening of the field structure was an important element in the overall efforts to streamline the efficiency of the operational activities of the United Nations system.
٣٦ - السيد رايشيف )بلغاريا(: قال إن تعزيز الهيكل الميداني يعد عنصرا هاما في الجهود الشاملة المبذولة لتبسيط كفاءة اﻷنشطة التنفيذية التي تضطلع بها منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة.

The CHAIRMAN informed the Committee that the group of Eastern European States had nominated Mr. Raichev (Bulgaria) for one of the posts of Vice-Chairman and that the group of African States had nominated Mr. Mohamed (Sudan) for the office of Rapporteur.
١ - الرئيس: أبلغ اللجنة أن مجموعة دول أوروبا الشرقية قد رشحت السيد رايشيف )بلغاريا( ليكون أحد نائبي الرئيس وأن مجموعة الدول اﻷفريقية قد رشحت السيد محمد )السودان( لمنصب المقرر.

3. At the 32nd meeting, on 7 December, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Raiko Raichev (Bulgaria), informed the Committee of the results of the informal consultations held on the draft resolution and orally revised it as follows:
٣ - وفي الجلسة ٣٢، المعقودة في ٧ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر، أبلغ نائب رئيس اللجنة، السيد رايكو رايشيف )بلغاريا( اللجنة بنتائج المشاورات غير الرسمية التي جرت بشأن مشروع القرار ونقح مشروع القرار شفويا على النحو التالي:

47. Mr. Raichev (Bulgaria) said that the application of strict economic and trade sanctions on the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) by the Security Council had placed an extraordinary burden on States in the region and undermining economic development.
٤٧ - السيد رايشيف )بلغاريا(: قال إن التطبيق الصارم للجزاءات الاقتصادية والتجارية على جمهورية يوغوسلافيــا الاتحادية )صربيا والجبــل اﻷسود( من جانب مجلس اﻷمن، يثقل كاهل دول المنطقة بعبء لا يحتمل ويعيق تنميتها الاقتصادية.
