In regard to the status of its ozone-depleting substances regulations, the Party's response advised that the delay in their adoption had been unavoidable but the process for their approval and gazetting was then at an advanced stage.

The Party had responded, attributing the deviation to delays in the completion of a project to prepare a request for technical assistance to phase out Zimbabwe's carbon tetrachloride and methyl chloroform consumption and to a lack of awareness among the Party's customs officers.
