In March 2006, Ms. Zarrouk was appointed Director of Training for Human Resources in the central and local administration of the Ministry of the Interior where she had worked since 1983.

60. Ms. Zarrouk Boumiza (Tunisia) said that universal jurisdiction was an important mechanism for strengthening the rule of law, ensuring equitable justice and ending impunity.

12. Ms. Zarrouk Boumiza (Tunisia) said that the rise of terrorist groups such as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the Middle East had introduced an unprecedented level of brutality to the terrorist threat.
