The Special Rapporteur believes that the Santa Cruz killings should not be considered as a thing of the past.
٧٧ - يعتقد المقرر الخاص أن أعمال القتل التي جرت في سانتاكروز لا ينبغي أن تعتبر شيئا قد سلف.

Training and technical assistance workshops were held for this purpose in the provinces of Santa Cruz, Jujuy, La Pampa and La Rioja for governmental and non-governmental services.
ولهذه الأغراض، عقدت حلقات عمل تدريبية وتقنية في مقاطعات سانتاكروز وجوجوي ولابامبا ولاريوخا، للدوائر الحكومية وغير الحكومية.

17. The sixth expert group meeting, on population distribution and migration, hosted by the Government of Bolivia, took place in Santa Cruz from 18 to 22 January 1993.
١٧ - وعُقد الاجتماع السادس، وهو الاجتماع المعني بتوزيع السكان والهجرة والذي استضافته حكومة بوليفيا، في سانتاكروز في الفترة من ١٨ الى ٢٢ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٣.

At 6.05 p.m. a Cuban border patrol unit saw the list five vessel " El Cañon " , with 15 persons on board, attempting to leave the country illegally through the bay of Santa Cruz del Sur, Camagüey.
في الساعة 05/18 اكتشف حرس الحــــدود خروج أحد زوارق القائمة الخامسة الذي يحمل اسم " الكانيون " وعلى متنـــه 15 شخصا يحاولون الخروج من البلد دون إذن عبر خليج سانتاكروز.

As regards the prosecution of the perpetrators of the Santa Cruz killings and connected grave human rights violations, the Special Rapporteur reached the following conclusions:
٠٧ - وفيما يتعلق بمحاكمة المسؤولين عن اعمال القتل التي وقعت في سانتاكروز واﻹنتهاكات الخطيرة لحقوق الانسان المتصلة بها، وصل المقرر الخاص الى الاستنتاجات التالية:

Unfortunately, the information gathered during meetings with Indonesian officials, both civilian and military, lead the Special Rapporteur to conclude that the conditions that allowed the Santa Cruz killings to occur are still present.
ولكن لﻷسف، فإن المعلومات التي جمعها المقرر الخاص أثناء اجتماعاته مع المسؤولين اﻹندونيسيين، سواء المدنيين أو العسكريين، تحمله على استنتاج أن الظروف التي سمحت بوقوع أعمال القتل في سانتاكروز ما زالت قائمة.

In the case of the Santa Cruz killings and alleged subsequent grave human rights violations, the findings of the military inquiry should be made public and an additional investigation should be conducted by a new commission of inquiry.
٩٧ - وفي حالة أعمال القتل التي وقعت في سانتاكروز وما أعقبها من انتهاكات خطيرة مزعومة لحقوق الانسان، ينبغي اﻹعلان عن نتائج التحقيق العسكري وإجراء تحقيق إضافي يعهد به الى لجنة تحقيق جديدة.

The first step for the Government should be to recognize its responsibility and declare that killings, and not an " incident " , took place in Santa Cruz.
والخطوة اﻷولى الذي ينبغي أن تقوم بها الحكومة هي الاعتراف بمسؤوليتها واﻹقرار بأن ما وقع في سانتاكروز هو أعمال قتل وليس " حادثا " .

They also welcomed the organization of the Commemorative Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77 and China, to be held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, on 14 and 15 June 2014, on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the G77.
ورحّبوا أيضاً بتنظيم القمة التذكارية لرؤساء دول وحكومات مجموعة الـ77 والصين، التي ستنعقد في سانتاكروز دي لا سييرا، بوليفيا، يومي 14 و 15 حزيران/يونيه 2014، بمناسبة الذكرى الخمسين لتأسيس مجموعة الـ77.

156. The majority of the 550 cases of reported disappearance occurred in 1992 following the incident at Santa Cruz cemetery in Dili, East Timor, where, on 12 November 1991, security forces opened fire on peaceful demonstrators during a memorial service for two youths who had been killed in a clash with the police.
وقد حدثت أغلبية حالات الاختفاء المبلغ عنها، وعددها 550 حالة، في عام 1992 إثر الحادث الذي وقع في مقبرة سانتاكروز في ديلي بتيمور الشرقية عندما قامت قوات الأمن في 12 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1991 بإطلاق النار على متظاهرين سلميين أثناء صلاة تذكارية مقامة لشابين كانا قد قتلا في صدام مع الشرطة.

(e) The Special Rapporteur feels that the court martial set up as a response to the Santa Cruz killings was an encouraging first step towards the accountability of members of the armed forces for violations of human rights.
)ﻫ( يرى المقرر الخاص أن المحكمة العسكرية التي شُكلت إثر أعمال القتل التي وقعت في سانتاكروز هي خطوة مشجعة أولى نحو تحميل أعضاء القوات المسلحة المسؤولية عن انتهاكات حقوق الانسان.

At 1 a.m. seven individuals entered the Manoplas anchorage in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Sur, Camagüey Province, tied up the guards and took two boats, " Alecrín " and " Mabel " , for the purpose of leaving the country illegally.
في الواحدة صباحا، اقتحم سبعة أشخاص مرسى مانوبلاس، بلدية سانتاكروز الجنوبية، مقاطعة كاماغي وأوثقوا الحراس وسرقوا المركبين اللذين يحملان اسم " السيرين " و " مابل " للخروج بهما من البلد بصورة غير قانونية.
