After an initial mission undertaken on my behalf by Cyrus Vance, I designated two special envoys, Virendra Dayal and Tom Vraalsen, who visited South Africa.
وفي أعقاب بعثة أولية قام بها سايروس فانس بالنيابة عني، عينت مبعوثين خاصين، هما فيرندرا دايال وتوم فرالسن، قاما بزيارة جنوب افريقيا.

Although the name-related dispute with Greece remains unsolved, both countries are continuing negotiations under the auspices of my personal envoy, Mr. Cyrus Vance.
وبالرغم من أن النزاع المتعلق باسمها مع اليونان لا يزال بدون حل، فإن البلدين يواصلان المفاوضات تحت رعاية مبعوثي الشخصي، السيد سايروس فانس.

I would like to express our belief that these negotiations have proved so far that it is conceivable that the request of the Security Council could be successfully met, to which end the Co-Chairmen, Mr. Cyrus Vance and Lord David Owen, have also rendered an important contribution.
