The Intergovernmental Agreement on the Asian Highway network was adopted.
واعتمد الاتفاق الحكومي الدولي بشأن شبكة الطرق السريعة الآسيوية.

In 2009, ESCAP signed a memorandum of understanding with ECO and the Islamic Development Bank on developing the Asian Highway network and Trans-Asian Railway, as well as on implementation of the ECO Transit Transport Framework Agreement.
وفي عام 2009، وقعت اللجنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ مذكرة تفاهم مع منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي ومصرف التنمية الإسلامي بشأن تطوير شبكة الطرق السريعة الآسيوية وشبكة السكك الحديدية العابرة لآسيا، وتنفيذ الاتفاق الإطاري للنقل العابر في منطقة المنظمة.

In particular, it will support member States in their efforts to use the Asian Highway network, the Trans-Asian Railway network and internationally recognized dry ports as the basis for planning transport development and promoting trade, including along the Euro-Asian transport linkages.
وعلى وجه الخصوص، سيقدم الدعم للدول الأعضاء في جهودها لاستخدام شبكة الطرق السريعة الآسيوية وشبكة سكة الحديد عبر آسيا والموانئ الجافة المعترف بها دوليا، وذلك كأساس لتخطيط تطوير النقل والترويج للتجارة، بما في ذلك إقامة الوصلات بين أوروبا وآسيا.

That Agreement is aimed at facilitating the movement of freight transport by road between the member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, namely, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and as such will become a critical step in the operationalization of the Asian Highway network.
