وإذ تسلم بأن جميع الدول، ولا سيما الدول ذات القدرات الفضائية الكبيرة، ينبغي أن تسهم بنشاط في بلوغ الهدف المتمثل في منع حدوث سباق تسلح في الفضاء الخارجي، بوصف ذلك شرطا جوهريا لتعزيز التعاون الدولي في استكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في اﻷغراض السلمية،

33. Urges all States, in particular those with major space capabilities, to contribute actively to the goal of preventing an arms race in outer space as an essential condition for the promotion of international cooperation in the exploration and uses of outer space for peaceful purposes;
٣٣ - تحث جميع الدول، ولا سيما الدول ذات القدرات الفضائية الكبرى، على اﻹسهام بنشاط في بلوغ الهدف المتمثل في منع حدوث سباق تسلح في الفضاء الخارجي، باعتبار ذلك شرطا جوهريا لتعزيز التعاون الدولي في استكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في اﻷغراض السلمية؛

They also reaffirmed the common interest of all humanity in the progress of the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, and stressed their conviction of the need to prevent an arms race in outer space as an essential condition for the promotion of international cooperation in this regard.
كما أعادت تأكيد المصلحة المشتركة للبشرية جمعاء في تقدم استكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية، وأكدت اقتناعها بالحاجة إلى منع حدوث سباق تسلح في الفضاء الخارجي باعتبار ذلك المنع شرطا جوهريا لتعزيز التعاون الدولي في هذا الصدد.
