14. The Committee takes note of the compensatory measures agreed upon between the author and the State party through the amicable settlement procedure.
14- وتحيط اللجنة علماً بتدابير التعويض المتفق عليها بين صاحبة البلاغ والدولة الطرف من خلال إجراء التسوية الودية.

The Committee, in accordance with its jurisprudence, considers that the burden of proof cannot rest solely with the author of the communication, considering that the author and the State party do not always have equal access to the evidence.
وترى اللجنة، وفقاً لقراراتها السابقة، أن عبء الإثبات لا يقع فقط على صاحبة البلاغ، نظراً إلى أن صاحبة البلاغ والدولة الطرف لا تتكافآن من حيث إمكانية الاطلاع على الأدلة.

7.3 With regard to the author's claim of disappearance, the Committee notes that the author and the State party have submitted different versions of the events in question.

7.1 Having taken note of the submissions made by both the author and the State party regarding the merits of the case, the Committee, on 19 and 20 June 2000, requested further information from the two parties.
