Decides that the operation of the Least Developed Countries Fund should be consistent with the following principles:

Guidance to an entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism of the Convention, for the operation of the Least developed countries fund

To date, 15 implementation projects have been processed and approved by the GEF for funding through the LDCF.

The number of projects a Party can submit to the LDCF for funding;

The training workshops were conducted in close collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and were funded by the LDCF.

13. The GEF further reported that, as at 31 July 2013, cumulative donor pledges to the LDCF have amounted to USD 774.91 million, and that the ceiling for each LDC for implementing NAPA projects is USD 20 million, based on the principle of equitable access.
