7. Requests the Secretary-General to continue to seek the views of Member States on the possible establishment of a voluntary fund for the victims of terrorism, as well as ways and means to rehabilitate the victims of terrorism and to reintegrate them into society;

The Azerbaijani Republic supports the provisions of the General Assembly resolution and the appeal in paragraph 4 to all Member States concerning the possible establishment of a United Nations voluntary fund for victims of terrorism.

3. A second note verbale was sent on 6 September 1995 reminding Governments to communicate their views with respect to the possible establishment of a United Nations voluntary fund for victims of terrorism, in accordance with paragraph 4 of General Assembly resolution 49/185.

On 3 May 1995, the Secretary-General had sent a note verbale to Member States to draw their attention to General Assembly resolution 49/185 and Commission on Human Rights resolution 1995/43, both entitled " Human rights and terrorism " , and to seek their opinion on the possibility of creating a United Nations voluntary fund for victims of terrorism.

The attention of the Commission is drawn to the report of the Secretary-General to the General Assembly entitled " Human rights and terrorism " submitted in accordance with paragraph 4 of Assembly resolution 49/185 containing the comments made by Member States on the possible establishment of a United Nations voluntary fund for victims of terrorism (A/50/685).
