20. While noting that the State party gives high priority to combating trafficking in human beings, in particular women and children, the Committee is concerned about the low number of prosecutions and the lenient sentences imposed on traffickers; the limited capacity of the competent authorities to identify (potential) victims of trafficking, including women and girls from vulnerable groups; and the lack of victim protection and compensation.
20- تلاحظ اللجنة أن الدولة الطرف تولي مكافحة الاتجار بالبشر، ولا سيما النساء والأطفال، درجة عالية من الأولوية، إلا أنه يساورها القلق إزاء قلة الملاحقات وقلة صرامة الأحكام الصادرة بحق المتَّجرين، وضعف قدرة السلطات المختصة على تحديد ضحايا الاتجار (المحتملين)، بمَن فيهم النساء والفتيات المصنفات في الفئات الضعيفة؛ وعدم تعويض الضحايا.

(15) The Committee notes the State party's information about the legislative amendments to the Criminal Code to deal with trafficking in persons (articles 110/a, 114/b, and 128/b), activities of the National Coordinator against the Trafficking of Persons and the adoption of `Action Standard Procedures for Identification and Reference of potential victims of trafficking'of 27 July 2011.
