249 - وفي ضوء توصيتها العامة رقم 21، تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على تعديل مدونة الأسرة بها لحظر تعدد الزوجات، حيث أنه يتناقض مع حق المرأة في المساواة مع الرجل.

In the light of its general recommendation 19 on violence against women, the Committee calls on the Government to ensure that such violence constitutes a crime punishable under criminal law, that it is prosecuted and punished with the required severity and speed, and that women victims of violence have immediate means of redress and protection.
وفي ضوء توصيتها العامة 19 بشأن العنف ضد المرأة، تدعو اللجنة الحكومة إلى كفالة اعتبار هذا العنف جريمة يعاقب عليها القانون الجنائي، ومحاكمة ومعاقبة مرتكبيه بالصرامة والسرعة اللازمتين، وتمكين النساء ضحايا العنف من وسائل فورية للانتصاف والحماية.

94. In the light of its general recommendation 19, the Committee urges the State party to place high priority on the introduction of comprehensive and holistic measures to address violence against women in the family and in society.
94 - وعلى ضوء توصيتها العامة 19، تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على إيلاء أولوية عالية لاتخاذ تدابير شاملة ومتكاملة لمعالجة مسألة العنف الممارس ضد المرأة في الأسرة والمجتمع.

In light of its general recommendation 21, the Committee urges the State party to amend its Family Code to prohibit polygamy, as it contravenes a woman's right to equality with men.
37 - وفي ضوء توصيتها العامة 21، تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على تعديل مدونة الأسرة بها لحظر تعدد الزوجات، حيث أنه يتناقض مع حق المرأة في المساواة مع الرجل.

28. Recalling its previous recommendation, the Committee calls on the State party to take measures, with benchmarks and concrete timetables, to increase the number of women in political and public life, at all levels and in all areas, in light of its general recommendation 23 on women in political and public life.
28 - وإذ تشير اللجنة إلى توصيتها السابقة، فإنها تدعو الدولة الطرف إلى اعتماد تدابير، مع مقاييس محددة وجداول زمنية محددة، لزيادة عدد النساء المشاركات في الحياة السياسية والعامة على جميع المستويات وفي جميع المجالات، على ضوء توصيتها العامة 23 بشأن المرأة في الحياة السياسية والعامة.

The Committee recommends that the State party review its domestic legislation in the light of general recommendation XV concerning the implementation of article 4 of the Convention, and that it adopt separate legislation on the offence of racial discrimination and the propagation of racial hatred.

The Committee reiterates its previous recommendations (CERD/C/LTU/CO/3, para. 16) to the State party to provide updated information on the overall situation of women from minority groups in view of its general recommendation No. 25 (2000) on gender-related dimensions of racial discrimination.

The Committee recommends that the State party monitor any form of racial segregation in light with its general recommendation No. 19 (1995) on racial segregation and apartheid (art. 3 of the Convention) bearing in mind that conditions of racial segregation are not created only by governmental policies but may arise as an unintended by-product of the actions of private persons such as ghetto-like housing and other forms of social isolation.
توصي اللجنة بأن ترصد الدولة الطرف أي شكل من أشكال التمييز العنصري في ضوء توصيتها العامة رقم 19(1995) بشأن العزل العنصري والفصل العنصري (المادة 3 من الاتفاقية)، واضعة في اعتبارها أن ظروف العزل العنصري لا تنشأ عن السياسات الحكومية بل تنشأ كناتج عرضي غير مقصود لتصرفات الأفراد مثل الإسكان في ضواح منعزلة وغيرها من أشكال العزلة الاجتماعية.
