1. The purpose of the present report is to seek necessary funding in the biennium 2000-2001 for eight political missions relating to actions taken by the Security Council on the basis of requests from Governments and/or recommendations of the Secretary-General.
أولا - مقدمة ١ - يهدف هذا التقرير إلى إلتماس التمويل اللازم في فترة السنتين ٢٠٠٠-٢٠٠١ لثماني بعثات سياسية تتعلق بإجراءات متخذة من جانب مجلس اﻷمن بناء على طلبات من الحكومات و/أو توصيات من اﻷمين العام.

1. The present report is being submitted in the context of actions taken by the Security Council regarding good offices, peacemaking and preventive diplomacy missions, on the basis of requests from Governments and/or recommendations of the Secretary-General.
