36. The Advisory Committee recalls paragraph 15 of General Assembly resolution 65/243 B, in which the Secretary-General was requested to reinforce his efforts to ensure that managers were effectively held accountable for the implementation of the recommendations of the Board of Auditors.

The report was prepared in response to paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 60/256 of 8 May 2006, in which the Secretary-General was requested to present, by the second part of its resumed sixtieth session, a more detailed business analysis on the possibility of constructing a new permanent building on the North Lawn.

The report is submitted in accordance with paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 48/216 B, in which the Secretary-General was requested to report to the Assembly at the same time as the Board of Auditors submitted its recommendations to the Assembly on measures taken or to be taken to implement those recommendations.

2 - وقد قدمت المذكرة عملا بالفقرة 47 من الجزء الحادي عشر من قرار الجمعية العامة 59/276 المؤرخ 23 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2004 التي طلب فيها إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية في دورتها الستين نتائج الدراسة الفنية المتعلقة بأمن تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، واستمرارية الأعمال، واستعادة القدرة على العمل بعد الأعطال الكبرى، مشفوعة ببيان مفصل للتكاليف وبجدول زمني.

In this connection, the Advisory Committee recalls section V, paragraph 8, of General Assembly resolution 62/225, in which the Secretary-General was requested to continue to address the issue of succession planning by enhancing internal and external training programmes, developing staff exchange programmes among organizations and participating in outreach to institutions that train language staff for international organizations.
وفي هذا الصدد، تشير اللجنة الاستشارية إلى الفقرة 8 من الجزء الخامس من قرار الجمعية العامة 62/225 التي طلب فيها إلى الأمين العام أن يواصل تناول مسألة التخطيط لتعاقب الموظفين من خلال تعزيز برامج التدريب الداخلي والخارجي واستحداث برامج لتبادل الموظفين فيما بين المنظمات والمشاركة في أنشطة الاتصال بالمؤسسات التي تدرب موظفي اللغات للعمل في المنظمات الدولية.

In this connection, the Committee recalls the provisions of section I, paragraph 4, of General Assembly resolution 63/250, pursuant to which the Secretary-General was requested to take advantage of the existing mechanisms for conflict resolution and mediation as deemed useful and appropriate in order to facilitate renewed dialogue between staff and management.
وفي هذا الصدد، تشير اللجنة إلى الأحكام الواردة في الفقرة 4 من الجزء الأول من قرار الجمعية العامة 63/250، التي طلب فيها إلى الأمين العام أن يستفيد من الآليات القائمة لحل النزاعات والوساطة متى كان ذلك مفيدا ومناسبا من أجل تسهيل تجدد الحوار بين الموظفين والإدارة.
