I have the honour to transmit herewith a letter from H.E. Osman Saleh Mohammed, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Eritrea, in connection to the sanction resolution tabled in the Security Council (see annex).
يشرفني أن أحيل طيا رسالة من سعادة عثمان صالح محمد، وزير خارجية دولة إريتريا، تتصل بقرار الجزاءات الذي ذكر أنه معروض على مجلس الأمن (انظر المرفق).

I have the honour to transmit herewith a letter from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Eritrea, Osman Saleh Mohammed (see annex), in connection with the new draft resolution on sanctions circulated to the members of the Security Council.

Assessment 130. In a letter dated 29 November 2011 addressed to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Eritrean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Osman Saleh Mohammed, stated that the issue of prisoners of war was addressed by article 3 of the Comprehensive Agreement signed by Djibouti and Eritrea under Qatari auspices, and that “there is no other parallel mediation modality or mechanism and it should never be created”.

Following a petition from the Government of Eritrea during my visit to the Horn of Africa region as Chairman of the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 751 (1992) and 1907 (2009) concerning Somalia and Eritrea, I have the honour to transmit herewith a letter from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Eritrea, Osman Saleh, with the request to kindly circulate it as a document of the Security Council (see annex).
إلحاقا بالالتماس المقدم من حكومة إريتريا خلال الزيارة التي قمت بها إلى منطقة القرن الأفريقي بصفتي رئيسا للجنة مجلس الأمن عملا بالقرارين 751 (1992) و 1907 (2009) بشأن الصومال وإريتريا، أتشرف بأن أحيل طيا رسالة من وزير الشؤون الخارجية لإريتريا عثمان صالح مشفوعة بطلب تعميمها كوثيقة من وثائق مجلس الأمن (انظر المرفق).
