1. In its resolutions 1120 (1997) of 14 July 1997 and 1145 (1997) of 19 December 1997, the Security Council requested the Secretary-General to keep it informed of the situation in the region of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Sirmium (hereafter referred to as " the region " ).
١ - طلب مجلس اﻷمن في قراريه ١١٢٠ )١٩٩٧( المؤرخ ١٤ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٧ و ١١٤٥ )١٩٩٧( المؤرخ ١٩ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٧ إلى اﻷمين العام أن يبقيه على علم بالحالة في منطقة سلافونيا الشرقية وبارانيا وسيرميوم الغربية )المشار إليها فيما يلي " بالمنطقة " (.

Requests the Secretary-General to keep the Council informed of the situation in Liberia, especially on the progress of demobilization and disarmament and to submit by 31 January 1997 a progress report and recommendations on possible United Nations support for the holding of free and fair elections;
١٣ - يطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يبقي المجلس على علم بالحالة في ليبريا، لا سيما التقدم المحرز في عمليتي التسريح ونزع السلاح، وأن يقدم في موعد لا يتجاوز ٣١ كانون الثاني/يناير١٩٩٧ تقريرا مرحليا وتوصيات بشأن ما يمكن أن تقدمه اﻷمم المتحدة من دعم ﻹجراء انتخابات حرة ونزيهة؛

5. At each meeting, the Standing Committee considered regular updates on overall programme and funding issues, through which it was kept informed of the situation in terms of programme requirements and funding levels.
5- ونظرت اللجنة الدائمة، في كل اجتماع عقدته، في مذكرات مستوفاة بانتظام تتعلق بالبرنامج الشامل وقضايا التمويل وأمكنها من خلال ذلك النظر أن تبقى على علم بالحالة فيما يخص احتياجات البرامج ومستويات التمويـل.

The present report is submitted pursuant to Security Council resolution 1083 (1996) of 27 November 1996, by which the Council extended the mandate of the United Nations Observer Mission in Liberia (UNOMIL) until 31 March 1997 and requested me to keep the Council informed of the situation in Liberia, especially on the progress of demobilization and disarmament.
١ - يقدم هذا التقرير عملا بقرار مجلس اﻷمن ١٠٨٣ )١٩٩٦( المؤرخ ٢٧ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٦ الذي مدد فيه المجلس ولاية بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في ليبريا حتى يوم ٣١ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٧، وطلب إليﱠ أن أبقي المجلس على علم بالحالة في ليبريا ولا سيما بشأن التقدم المحرز في مجالي تسريح القوات ونزع اﻷسلحة.

It shall be updated as frequently as practicable and the frequency of dissemination of the updated information shall increase as the anticipated time of re-entry into the dense layers of the Earth's atmosphere approaches so that the international community will be informed of the situation and will have sufficient time to plan for any national response activities deemed necessary.
