It was also noted that the treatment of prisoners was based on the Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners.

The Commission also endorsed a draft resolution taking note of work to revise the existing Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners by two expert groups convened by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to determine what changes to the Standard Minimum Rules would be desirable.
7 - وأيدت اللجنة أيضا مشروع قرار أحاط علما بالأعمال التي تجرى لمراجعة القواعد النموذجية الدنيا لمعاملة السجناء من قبل فريقيْ خبراء دعا مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة إلى عقد أعمالهما لتحديد أية تنقيحات يُستصوب إدخالها على القواعد النموذجية الدنيا.
