16. ١٦ - إذا حدث في الاقتراع اﻷول أن حصل عدد من المرشحين يزيد على العدد المطلوب على أغلبية مطلقة من اﻷصوات، يُعقد اقتراع ثان على جميع المرشحين ويستمر الاقتراع في الجلسة ذاتها، إذا لزم اﻷمر، إلى أن يحصل العدد المطلوب من المرشحين، لا أكثر، على أغلبية مطلقة.

It is further suggested that if in the first ballot more than nine candidates obtain an absolute majority of votes, a second ballot will be held on all candidates and balloting will continue at the same meeting, if and as necessary, until nine candidates, and no more, obtain an absolute majority.
كذلك من المقترح أنه إذا حدث في الاقتراع الأول أن حصل عدد من المرشحين يزيد عن تسعــة على أغلبية مطلقة من الأصوات، ينظم اقتــراع ثــان على جميع المرشحين ويستمر الاقتراع في الجلسة نفسها، إذا لزم الأمر، إلى أن يحصل تسعة من المرشحين، لا أكثر، على أغلبية مطلقة.
