In considering the reports presented to it, the Council noted the need for a more systematic reporting of the work of the University by the Rector and the Director of UNU research and training centres and programmes which would permit a more critical assessment by the Council of UNU activities in both quantitative and qualitative terms.
وفي معرض نظره في التقرير المقدم إليه، أشار المجلس إلى ضرورة قيام رئيس الجامعة ومدير مراكز وبرامج البحوث والتدريب التابعة للجامعة بتقديم تقارير على نحو أكثر انتظاما عن أعمال الجامعة مما يتيح للمجلس إجراء تقييم نقدي بدرجة أكبر وأكثر دقة لﻷنشطة التي تضطلع بها جامعة اﻷمم المتحدة من الناحيتين الكمية والنوعية على السواء.

The Council also reports annually to the Executive Board of UNESCO, through the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Director-General of UNESCO, respectively, on the work of the University.
ويقدم المجلس أيضا تقريرا سنويا عن أعمال الجامعة الى المجلس التنفيذي لليونسكو عن طريق اﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة والمدير العام لليونسكو.

The Rector/Council of the United Nations University should report, through the Secretary-General of the United Nations, to the General Assembly on specific actions taken to implement the directives of the General Assembly, as part of the periodic reports on the work of the University
ينبغي أن يقدم رئيس ومجلس جامعة اﻷمم المتحدة إلى الجمعية العامة، عن طريق اﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة، تقارير عن اﻹجراءات المحددة المتخذة لتنفيذ توجيهات الجمعية العامة، كجزء من التقارير الدورية عن أعمال الجامعة.

The present report should be considered in conjunction with the report of the Council of the United Nations University on the work of the University in 1995 (A/51/31), which contains a comprehensive section on the interaction between the United Nations and the University (paras. 183-211).
٢ - وينبغي أن ينظر في هذا التقرير بالاقتران مع تقرير مجلس جامعة اﻷمم المتحدة عن أعمال الجامعة في عام ١٩٩٥ (A/51/31)، الذي يحتوي على فرع شامل عن التفاعل بين اﻷمم المتحدة والجامعة )الفقرات ١٨٣ - ٢١١(.

2. The present report should be read in conjunction with the report of the Council of the United Nations University on the work of the University in 2001,1 which contains a comprehensive section on the interaction between the University and the United Nations system.
2 - وينبغي الاطلاع على هذا التقرير بالاقتران بتقرير مجلس جامعة الأمم المتحدة عن أعمال الجامعة في عام 2001(1)، الذي يتضمن فرعا شاملا عن التفاعل بين الجامعة ومنظومة الأمم المتحدة.

36. Recommendation 1. 36 - التوصية 1 - ينبغي أن يقدم رئيس مجلس جامعة الأمم المتحدة إلى الجمعية العامة، عن طريق الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، تقارير عن الإجراءات المحددة التي تتخذ لتنفيذ توجيهات الجمعية العامة كجزء من التقارير الدورية عن أعمال الجامعة.
