The Chair said he took it that the Committee wished to take note of the note by the Secretary-General transmitting the report of the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on communication for development programmes in the United Nations system (A/69/217).

12. At its 38th meeting, on 11 December, on the proposal of the Chair, the Committee decided to recommend to the General Assembly that it take note of the note by the Secretary-General on communication for development programmes in the United Nations system (A/69/217) (see para. 14).
