My delegation welcomes the report of the Secretary-General on the “Action taken by the organs, organizations and bodies of the United Nations system to implement the Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States” (A/49/425).
ويرحب وفد بلـــدي بتقريـــر اﻷميــن العام عن " الاجراءات التي اتخذتها أجهزة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة ومؤسساتها وهيئاتها لتنفيذ برنامج العمل من أجل التنمية المستدامة للدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية " (A/49/425).

It is rather a progress report on action taken in areas where the Member States have endorsed my ideas and have encouraged me to put them into practice.
بل هو باﻷحرى، تقرير مرحلي عن الاجراءات المتخذة في مجالات أيدت فيها الدول الاعضاء افكاري وشجعتني على تنفيذها.

وتساءل عما اذا كان الدليل التشريعي سيتضمن معلومات عن الاجراءات التي ينبغي اتباعها في مثل تلك الحالات.

For that purpose, staff members in positions of authority need to be properly informed of the procedure to be followed in such cases.
ولهذا الغرض، يجب إعلام الموظفين بصورة ملائمة عن الاجراءات الواجب اتباعها في مثل هذه الحالات.

The Advisory Committee would report annually to the Assembly on the actions it has taken vis-à-vis the support account;
