The success of the promotional campaign for the 1999 special session of the General Assembly on small island developing States is attributed to the excellent cooperation among the Department of Public Information, the Division for Sustainable Development, SIDSnet and UNEP, as well as the emotional appeal of small islands' issues.
ويُعزى نجاح الحملة الإعلامية للدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة عن الدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية المعقودة عام 1999 إلى التعاون الممتاز بين إدارة شؤون الإعلام وشعبة التنمية المستدامة وشبكة الدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة، فضلا عما تحظى به قضايا الجزر الصغيرة من قدرة على التأثير في المشاعر.
