The General Assembly, recalling its resolution 49/214 of 23 December 1994 on the International Decade of the World's Indigenous People, requests the Secretary-General to submit to it at its fifty-second session a report on the programme of activities of the Decade, under the appropriate agenda item.
إن الجمعية العامة، إذ تشير إلى قرارها ٤٩/٢١٤ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤ المتعلق بالعقد الدولي للسكان اﻷصليين في العالم، تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم إليها في دورتها الثانية والخمسين تقريرا عن برنامج أنشطة العقد، في إطار البند المناسب من جدول اﻷعمال.

In chapter IV of the Secretary-General's report on the programme of activities of the International Decade of the World's Indigenous People (A/50/565), paragraph 34 referred to the Agreement on the Identity and Rights of Indigenous Peoples, reached on 31 March 1995 in peace talks between the Guatemalan Government and rebel forces.
٤٠ - وذكر أن الفصل الرابع من تقرير اﻷمين العام عن برنامج أنشطة العقد الدولي (A/50/565) يشير في الفقرة ٣٤، إلى الاتفاق المتعلق بهوية وحقوق السكان اﻷصليين، الذي تم التوصل إليه في ٣١ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٥، في إطار محادثات للسلام بين الحكومة الغواتيمالية والقوات المتمردة.

1. Mr. Ndiaye (Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)), introducing the item, summarized the report of the Secretary-General on the programme of activities of the International Decade of the World's Indigenous People (A/58/289) and invited States to contribute to the United Nations Trust Fund for the International Decade and the Voluntary Fund for the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, set up in 2002.

She took note of the report of the Secretary-General on the programme of activities of the International Decade of the World’s Indigenous People (A/54/487) and stressed the important coordinating role played by the Indigenous Project Team in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
