Noting that the State party is considering draft codes of practice in relation to national and intercountry adoption, the Committee encourages the State party to establish a comprehensive national policy and guidelines governing foster care and adoption, and to establish a central monitoring mechanism in this regard.
1340- وإذ تلاحظ اللجنة أن الدولة الطرف تنظر في مشروع مدونة ممارسات فيما يتعلق بالتبني على المستويين الوطني والدولي، فإنها تشجع الدولة الطرف على وضع سياسة ومبادئ توجيهية وطنية شاملة تنظم ممارسات الرعاية البديلة والتبني، وعلى إنشاء آلية رصد مركزية في هذا الشأن.

671. While noting the efforts made by the Government in the areas of health, education and welfare with regard to the Maori population, the Committee encourages the authorities to pursue and strengthen their programmes and activities to fill the remaining gap between Maori and non-Maori children.
١٧٦ - ولئن كانت اللجنة تلاحظ الجهود التي بذلتها الحكومة في مجالات الصحة والتعليم والرفاهة فيما يتعلق بالسكان الماوري، فإنها تشجع السلطات على مواصلة وتعزيز برامجها وأنشطتها من أجل سد الفجوة التي لا تزال قائمة بين اﻷطفال الماوري واﻷطفال من غير الماوري.

48. While noting with appreciation the State party's commitment to disseminate widely the present concluding observations, the Committee encourages the State party to make them available to all institutions and public authorities dealing with the rights under the Covenant as well as to large segments of the civil society.
48- وفيما تأخذ اللجنة علماً مع التقدير التزام الدولة الطرف بنشر الملاحظات الختامية الحالية، على نطاق واسع، فإنها تشجع الدولة الطرف على جعل هذه الملاحظات الختامية متوفرة لجميع المؤسسات والسلطات الحكومية التي تتعامل مع الحقوق المنصوص عليها في العهد وكذلك لشرائح واسعة من المجتمع المدني.

Noting that this activity has been under way for some time, the Committee encourages the State party to take further measures to finalize the review process and to submit relevant information concerning this matter in its next periodic report.

In this respect, it encourages the State party to ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention in order to strengthen the prevention against torture.

While they are not required to submit written answers to the list of issues, they are encouraged to do so.
