73. Article 20, paragraph 2 (establishing limitations on freedom of expression and information), of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights was invoked in the case Vassilari v. Greece by the claimant, who alleged a violation of the State party's obligation to ensure the prohibition of any advocacy to hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence.
